POP CULTURE JOURNALISM
I currently write for Junkee, covering everything from nerd news to film reviews, through to TV recaps and speculative idiocy. I've flown to Los Angeles to cover live wrestling, written a first-hand account of a visit to Area 51 in the Nevada desert, and have interviewed everyone from Neil Gaiman to Harrison Ford.
VIDEO GAME JOURNALISM
I spent five years as the senior game critic for TheVine.com.au and have written about and reviewed games for MMGN, Junkee, Pedestrian, Triple J Magazine, Smith Journal and IGN.
Penguin Books Australia is publishing my first novel, Loose Units. At this stage I'm not allowed to say much, but watch this space for updates, excerpts and all that other good stuff over the coming year.
FILM AND TELEVISION
As well as hosting Beyond Entertainment's Steam Punks on ABC3, I also co-wrote the show itself. I recently wrote the short film Waste of Time, which was a Tropfest 2016 finalist. I've also written for the upcoming Screen Australia production Gnomes, was a writer on Foxtel's sketch comedy series Open Slather, and have written for Studio 3 on the ABC.
